"New Songs" East Coast Australian Tour 2009 with special guest Tom Cooney

Since her acclaimed sophomore release 'Eden Land', Laura Jean has fallen in love with a pastel yellow Gibson SG electric guitar and written a new album. She will be previewing these songs in an east coast tour starting in her old stomping ground Lismore and finishing in her beloved Melbourne. Accompanying her will be the rock solid Jen Sholakis on drums, guitar and singing, and the brilliant Biddy Connor on viola, piano accordion, casio etc. Travelling with them on this jaunt will be Tom Cooney, whose album 'Presque Vu' was nominated for 2008's Australian Music Prize. Tom has recently moved to Ireland, and will be returning thereafter so it will be a rare chance to see this incredible troubadour sing. As a final treat, at the shows Laura will have for sale a limited edition 4 track tour E.P. It features a duet with Ned Collette, a demo for Eden Land and a live version of her already infamous but yet to be recorded song 'Valenteen'.
